Centenary Gala - May 2011
An outstanding 4454 passengers were carried over the three days on 173 trains, pulled by resident Barnes locomotives Joan and Michael, visitor from Windmill Farm Railway Prince Edward of Wales, as well as Cagney.
Railway Queen and Billy were on static display, alongside John from Evesham Vale Light Railway and Billie from the Preston Steam Museum, courtesy of Jim and Helen Shackell and Michael List-Brain respectively.
Over the weekend, we organised several photo shoots with all six Barnes Atlantics and Basset Lowke Class 10 "Prince Edward of Wales". These proved very popular with more photographers on the bank outside the station than ever before.
It was a very successful weekend for all involved in organising and running the various events on Marine Lake, and we would like to extends thanks to all who played a part.
